15000 students of Allahabad University, colleges promoted through internal assessment
Around 15,000 odd-semester students from Allahabad University (AU) and its constituent colleges were promoted to the next semester based on internal assessments. These include students in the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th semesters.
Apart from this, UA Examinations Controller Prof. Ramendra Kumar Singh said that the authorities have also decided that the second and third year exams of undergraduate courses will be conducted in offline mode from the April 22 and that the course program would be reduced to regularize the session.
In line with decisions taken at an examination committee meeting chaired by AU Vice-Chancellor Professor Sangita Srivastava on Friday, it was decided that the practical exams would also be conducted offline and that 30% of the program would be pruned. .
First-year undergraduate exams would be held the first week of August and to compensate for the delay in the admissions process, 20% of undergraduate (first-year courses) would be pruned.
Examinations for postgraduate students (first semester) will take place offline from the first week of May and 20% of their syllabus would also be reduced.
The admissions process for the first semester is currently underway, officials said. Even semester exams (4th, 6th, 8th and 10th) of postgraduate and professional courses will be held in offline mode in the first week of May and their schedule will be reduced by 30 percent, officials said. Admission to LLB course at Allahabad Degree College (ADC) will start from 14th February.
According to the clipping released by Law Department Chairman OP Tiwari on Friday, students who scored 162 or more in all categories were called for admission on February 14 at the college’s Beniganj campus between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. note sheet. of the entrance exam, original copy of the admission card, four color photographs, original and photocopy of the high school mark sheet and certificates up to the final exam.
