163 college students receive financial assistance

SOME 163 students from different cities of the Second District received their Education Funding Assistance Program (EFAP) from Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Board Member of the Second District, at the Santo Tomas Gymnasium in the city of Lubao , Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

The beneficiaries are among those allocated under Pineda-Cayabyab by the provincial government through Governor Dennis Pineda. College students enrolled in different universities each received P 3,000 during the distribution.

Pineda-Cayabyab said the province continues to invest in education to help develop a skilled and educated human resource.

In the past nine years, prior to Governor Pineda’s tenure, the provincial government invested 1.2 billion pesos in education.

Thanks to this investment, additional classrooms and public school buildings are now used by public school students, while thousands of high school and college students regularly receive education assistance from the provincial government.
