Dr. Piper Klemm discusses women’s entrepreneurship, equine education and her college courses on The Equestrian College Advisor’s live show
Dr. Piper Klemm, editor of The checkered horsereturned to The Equestrian College Advisor Live on March 7, 2022, where she and Randi C. Heathman discussed female entrepreneurship, courage, tenacity, and girl power in equine education.
The Equestrian College Advisor offers college advice suitable for riders of all ages, levels and aspirations. Randi C. Heathman is the Equestrian College Advisor. She is an educational consultant with extensive experience in higher education and equestrian sport. In the early 2000s, she was Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Albion College while working with the Albion Equestrian Team as a mentor and recruiter as a team advisor.
Heathman offers academic advising, college/university listing development, career and major counseling, essay writing support, help with preparing riding recruitment videos, job interview preparation. admissions and advice related to contacting coaches, support with financial aid and scholarship identification, and speaking engagements on topics related to the college admissions process and collegiate equestrianism.
On ECA Live, Heathman examines a variety of topics related to collegiate education, collegiate riding, horse shows, and more. Klemm also appeared on ECA Live in 2021, where she discussed her professional journey, career options in the horse world, her university courses and the importance and power of education and research in ‘opportunities.
