Entry for 7,000 PG places at Lucknow University, colleges from September 10 | Lucknow News

LUCKNOW: The centralized hall Admission test for postgraduate (PG) courses at Lucknow University and its affiliated colleges will likely be held September 10-17. The accept cards for the entrance test will be available in the first week of September.
The entrance test will take place for admission to approximately 7,000 places in LU and affiliated colleges that have opted for centralized admissions.
“While there are about 4,000 PG seats at LU, around 2,500 places are spread across a dozen affiliated colleges that have opted for centralized University admission,” an official said. He said the entrance test will be held in two teams and a detailed schedule will be declared after August 31, which is the deadline for applying for the PG.
“The entrance test will consist of 100 objective-type questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Each question will be worth 2 points. There will be no negative marking,” LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said.
He said entrance tests will not be held in subjects where the number of applications is less than the number of places. If two or more applicants achieved equal marks/rank in the Entrance Test Merit Index, first preference will be given to the applicant who achieves a higher percentage of marks upon graduation or an equivalent exam, he added.
