How to review and pay for KCSE College 2020 courses

0

The KCSE 2020 results were released about two weeks ago. The exam took place in April 2021 after the pandemic forced students to stay home for more than six months.

The publication of results usually means that students must prepare for the next phase of their studies. Some join universities and colleges, among other higher education institutions. Others choose different non-academic career paths. For the first groups, the central services of universities and colleges in Kenya, aka KUCCPS, are responsible for placing them in different institutions.

As is the case, course selection is usually done at the school during the exam period. However, the results sometimes force students to revise their selected courses based on their performance.

In this case, the KUCCPS platform comes in handy because students can complete the whole exercise using online tools, unlike a decade ago when course revisions were. performed manually.

The review process is already underway following an announcement made by Education CS George Magoha. The exercise will close on June 11.

Portal credentials

The first step is to make sure that a student has an account on the KUCCPS student portal.

Others have the account (username and password), which means they only need to log in to complete the review exercise.

However, if this is the first time a student has used the portal, they should create an account by filling in information such as their KCSE index number, KCSE year, and creating a memorable password. The platform advises new applicants to use their index numbers or birth certificate numbers as passwords.

With the credentials and after logging into the portal, students should click on the Applications tab at the top left to see the necessary requirements.

Classes are also included on the platform. They are accessible by clicking on the Institutions tab.

Choose / Review courses

Students can browse the courses and either add / review the selected programs in the course slice.

If a student needs to choose a preferred course, they should click on the application / review tab and then enter the course codes.

The codes can be found in the course material.

However, the process is not free. New applicants must pay 1,500 KES. Those who revise their selection pay an amount less than 1000 KES. Payment is made via M-PESA payment invoice number 820201, followed by KCSE year and index number as account details. Payment should be processed immediately.

Students should remember that the portal is currently down, possibly due to overcapacity. The best time to complete the review process should be at night, when few people are online.
