New session at the university, colleges will start from August 30; classes will start from October 1st

The first session of the departments and affiliated colleges of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) for the 2021-22 academic year will start from August 30.

Classes will start on October 1st. Various resolutions, including the resumption of classes in the new YA, were adopted at the Academic Council meeting held on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole chaired the meeting.

Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirath and Registrar Dr Jaishree Suryavanshi, as well as members of CA 45, were in attendance. Members discussed 34 topics.

VC Dr Pramod Yeole said that various important decisions have been taken over the past two years with the help of various authorities and councils.

“The university has embarked on the path of development.

But, there have been some obstacles because of Covid. The exams of the last semester were successful. The online exams will take place in four stages, ”he said.

The vice-chancellor said there would be consistency in the curricula and exams of university departments and affiliated colleges in the coming days.

Some of the important resolutions taken at the Board meeting are as follows;

-Syllabus overhauled approved from M Sc Botany and Electronics.

–New guidelines for theory and practice exams

– Introduction of the choice-based credit system in the BCM course

– Authorization to B Voc- Course in organic agriculture, physical education and sports support.

–Revised admission standards for M Phil and Ph D.

–Permission granted for the introduction of a subject on “Indian Constitution” in the graduate course.
