The second cycle of additional college-level counseling for college courses begins Thursday

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The second additional college-level counseling for admission to traditional undergraduate and postgraduate courses will begin on Thursday. The CLC will continue until October 30. Students who have not previously registered can do the necessary online until October 28 and have their documents verified. Those who registered in previous rounds do not have to re-register.

Registered students will have to go and submit their application to the college in which they wish to be admitted between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. On the same day, the admission list will be declared and students will be required to pay the fee until 11 a.m. the next day.

This year, a total of three counseling cycles were completed for admission to UG and PG courses. The first two rounds were online admission rounds and the third round was college level counseling (CLC).

Initially, the admission deadline was September 30. The DHE had granted a fourth cycle of counseling for those who had not been admitted in three cycles. The deadline for this extra round was October 10, which was extended to October 14.

After admissions closed, the Department of Higher Education (DHE) decided to offer an additional chance for students to gain admission to traditional undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Information about this was given by Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav in a video message. Almost 6.31 lakh students have already been admitted to colleges.

Start of registrations for the 2nd CET council

New registrations for the second round of CET counseling began on Wednesday and will continue through October 23. All students need to do is log into the MPOnline portal and register online for the second round of CET counseling. Those who had already registered for the first cycle of counseling are not required to register again.

The new registrations concern those who have taken the CET but have not registered for the first cycle of counseling. CET coordinator Kanhaiya Ahuja said the second round of counseling will be held from October 26-29. He said that initially all students in the reserved category will be called for vacant seats. “If quota seats remain vacant after advising the candidates of the reserved categories, the vacant positions will be converted into other categories in accordance with the policy of the state government,” he added.

Ahuja said that nearly 190 students allocated to the first round of counseling failed to pay the admission confirmation fee. “Moreover, nearly 420 places remained unoccupied in the first round of consultations. If this is added, around 600 places will be available for the second round of counseling, ”he noted.
